McAlester Public Library now offers e-books for download. A variety of devices are supported, from hand held devices such as music players, phones or e-readers to computers. You can check it all out, including the e-books, by clicking here.

Now Mango Goes Where You Go!

Mango Mobile Library Edition is the Mango Languages application for iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad. Free from the App Store, you can now access fast, easy and effective language learning no matter where your travels take you!

Once you have saved your library card number within QuickClick, you won't have to enter it again.

A New Library for McAlester

A new library for McAlester is in the works! You can find out more information, including what you can do to help and how to donate, by visiting the Friends of the Library page. This new library will be a much needed improvement, both for staff and the community. One improvement being made is the amount of space available for us to keep all your favorite books you love to read!

Free Music Downloads

McAlester Public Library's Virtual Branch now offers FREE, LEGAL music downloads through the FreegalMusic Service. Each song is bought and paid for by the library on your behalf. Therefore, there is a limit of 3 per week per person.

Simply click here or on the image and then type your library card number to gain access.

Audio Books

McAlester Public Library's Virtual Branch now offers downloadable audio books sponsored by the Southeastern Public Library System of Oklahoma. To view and download these audio books, click the link below, select "Login" and enter your library card number without spaces. Once downloaded, you can use any portable MP3 player that supports the WMA (Windows Media Audio) or eMP3(Encrypted M-PEG Audio Level III) format to playback your content.
